BorgWarner Inc. is a United States manufacturer of automotive OEM components and replacement parts used throughout the world. Produced by the BorgWarner Engine Group, their turbochargers have been in the forefront of turbocharger development. BorgWarner has been a pioneer in variable turbine geometry, EGR systems, and electronic throttle bodies. BorgWarner turbochargers retain the quality that has made the company a success since its founding in 1928. The BorgWarner Trophy has been a tradition at the Indianapolis 500 auto race since 1936. Beginning in 2012, BorgWarner is the official supplier of turbochargers for the 2.2 liter engine of the IZOD IndyCar Series. Some Borg Warner's turbo systems and components are sold under the names Schwitzer and 3K (or KKK).
